# What You Need:
→ Pastry
01 - 1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry (approximately 9 ounces), thawed if frozen
→ Apples
02 - 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
03 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
→ Glaze and Finish
06 - 2 tablespoons apricot jam (optional, for glazing)
07 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Lay the sheet of puff pastry flat on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly score a 3/4-inch border around the edge, taking care not to cut all the way through.
03 - In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cinnamon until evenly coated.
04 - Arrange the apple slices in overlapping rows within the scored border of the pastry.
05 - Brush the arranged apple slices with melted butter to enhance flavor.
06 - Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender.
07 - If desired, gently heat the apricot jam until fluid, then brush over the apples for a glossy finish. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
