# What You Need:
→ Noodles & Protein
01 - 2 packs instant ramen noodles (preferably Buldak or other spicy Korean ramen)
02 - 7 oz boneless, skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
→ French Onion Base
03 - 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
04 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter
05 - 1 tbsp olive oil
06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1 tsp sugar
08 - 1/2 tsp salt
09 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
10 - 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
→ Broth & Seasonings
11 - 2 cups chicken broth
12 - 1 packet Buldak or spicy Korean ramen sauce
13 - 1 tsp soy sauce
→ Toppings
14 - 1/2 cup shredded Gruyère or mozzarella cheese
15 - 2 tbsp chopped chives or green onions
16 - 1 small French baguette, cut into thin slices, toasted
# Directions:
01 - Melt butter with olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add onions and cook slowly, stirring frequently, until deeply caramelized, about 20 to 25 minutes. Sprinkle sugar, salt, and black pepper to enhance caramelization.
02 - Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Optionally, deglaze the pan with dry white wine.
03 - In a separate pan, cook thinly sliced chicken breast over medium-high heat until golden and fully cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes. Set aside.
04 - Add chicken broth and soy sauce to the caramelized onions. Bring to a gentle simmer and add the ramen noodles. Cook according to package instructions until just tender.
05 - Stir in Buldak or spicy Korean ramen sauce until evenly combined. Add cooked chicken and gently mix to integrate all components.
06 - Sprinkle shredded cheese over the hot noodles. Cover and let the cheese melt for 1 to 2 minutes, or briefly broil to achieve a browned cheese crust.
07 - Garnish with chopped chives or green onions. Serve immediately with toasted French baguette slices on the side.
